I read your article in the recent edition of the "Al Maghrib" magazine and I was able to read the article you wrote in the "Assalam" magazine critiquing my essay on the great Egyptian man of letters, Abba Mahmoud Al Akkad.

The smooth flow of your style incited me to write (here) a few lines to acknowledge that you are a young man called upon to play a very important role in the evolution of Morocco's cultural vitality.

I will not hide from you that I was delighted with your two articles and that I was able to (clearly) discern your way of thought through your writing. I hope that you will accept my brotherly greetings and that this letter would be the starting point of a friendly relationship between us.

I received your letter dated December 7, 1935 and you can not imagine the immense pleasure I felt reading what you wrote to me. I felt very encouraged even though I am far from deserving the compliments you expressed on my behalf. But what I am sure of is that I am in your good graces. I sensed in between the lines you sent me a call for a sincere friendship to which my heart was extremely touched and which nearly flew towards you to greet and thank you. I reveal no secrets by telling you I bear the same feelings of friendship and that I held these feelings since the day when we met last year in October at the home of Abdelhafid El Fassi in Salé in the company of the poet Mohammed Ben Brahim from Marrakesh the Red City. My admiration for you never ceased to be reinforced seeing how you persevered in your writings without any worries to take on arduous themes such as "Human Knowledge." Continue on this path. You will without a shadow of doubt be crowned with success.
